Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Technician Program,
Honda Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki Motorcycle Mechanic Programs
Harley-Davidson ® Late Model Program
Along with the support of the Harley-Davidson Motor Co., MMI
has developed an exclusive hands-on course intended for
those who desire a professional technician-based motorcycle
mechanic position working with Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Upon completion of the Late Model Program students will be
given the Harley-Davidson Mechanic Entry-Level Skills
Assessment (ELSA). ELSA is designed to assist the student in
determining his or her skill performance level and thereby
better match their skill level to the appropriate job
opportunity. MMI is the only institution in the United
States authorized to administer this assessment.
Harley-Davidson PHD
The Harley-Davidson PHD Program is a self-paced learning
system specifically designed by the factory to keep
professional dealership technicians current with the latest
mechanic technology and service procedures. MMI, with the
support of the factory, provides a fully equipped PHD
library for the students. An MMI Late Model Harley-Davidson
student can complete all of the required PHD workbooks while
in school. When employed by a Harley-Davidson dealership,
the factory will supply the appropriate documentation.
HonTech Program
HonTech students focus on the specific information offered
in American Honda factory schools. The Honda Pro Technician
(HPT) assessment is administered at the conclusion of the 12
week program, allowing graduates to obtain his or her first
level of manufacturer recognition.
American
Suzuki FAST Program
The latest technical data and service bulletins are provided
by American Suzuki to ensure the most up-to-date knowledge
and service procedures. FAST students are eligible to
participate in American Suzuki's Mechanic-to-Mechanic
program. Upon successful completion of this program,
graduates are awarded a separate certificate. American
Suzuki also provides special student awards to the
outstanding achievers of each graduating class.
YamaPro Program
Current Yamaha trouble-shooting procedures as well as review
of service bulletins and the use of the Yamaha Computer
Systems (YCS) are covered as part of this comprehensive
program.
Kawasaki-TECH Specialist Program
K-TECH instructors are Kawasaki trained and technical
updates on design and procedures are received regularly. In
addition, seminars will be held at different times
throughout the year by Kawasaki representatives. With this
unique communication link, K-TECH graduates will be able to
begin their new career with the most current up-to-date
Kawasaki technical information.
Motorcycle Technician Training
Motorcycle
Technician Program 310
(33 weeks - 825 Clock Hours, 27.5 Credit Hours) This program
provides basic knowledge in Theory and hands-on training on
products from a variety of manufacturers in Clinics 1-9 to
include Engines and Transmission; Suspension and Chassis
System; Machine Shop; Basic and Advanced Electrical; Vehicle
Maintenance; Engine Troubleshooting and Noise Diagnosis; and
Engine Performance. Then you choose 6 weeks or more of
manufacturer specific training.
Manufacturer Specific Training
MMI is the only school endorsed and supported by all 5 major
manufacturers. Factory specific training includes an
introduction to the manufacturer's Service Network, model
identification, electrical troubleshooting and system
analysis, charging systems, engine service and tune up
procedures and shop management - all of which you learn in a
shop-like environment.
HonTech ® Program

(12 weeks - 300 Clock Hours, 10.0 Credit Hours)
Provides training on Honda's full product line (motorcycles,
ATV's, power equipment and scooters) with over 70 different
models to work on.
YamaPro ® Program

(6 Weeks - 150 Clock Hours, 5.0 Credit Hours)
Encompasses all of the Yamaha product lines - motorcycles,
ATV's and motorscooters.
Factory Authorized Suzuki Training (FAST) Program 950
(6 Weeks - 150 Clock Hours, 5.0 Credit Hours)
You'll get an in-depth look at Suzuki's full range of
products to include dirt bikes, sport bikes, touring bikes
and ATV's.
K-TECH
Specialist Program 810
(6 Weeks, 150 Clock Hours, 5.0 Credit Hours)
Work on current vehicles most commonly found in a Kawasaki
dealership to include, motorcycles, ATV's, utility vehicles
and personal watercraft.
Watercraft and Marine Vessel Mechanic Technician
Training
Watercraft Technician Program 620
(9 Weeks - 225 Clock Hours, 7.5 Credit Hours)
This program provides you with the skills needed to apply
for an entry-level position in this expanding field. Learn
procedures to completely rebuild the most popular watercraft
engines to manufacturers specifications. After the rebuild,
use a state-of-the-art test tank to dyno test the engine
performance.
